Himself

He crys out
He trys to find something
that is not meaningless
that is not pointless
that is good.

He finds nothing,but
he hears something.
A distant voice telling
him that there is something true
there is something good.

Then it says,"It is not in you."
The man then shuts his ears
and walks away begrudged
that this voice isn't about him
but rather something pure.
